Kelly Anderson, Aimee Clinkhammer, and Carissa Matthews are current employees at the Syracuse Center of Excellence in Environmental and Energy Systems (SyracuseCoE). They decided to road trip to this year's Greenbuild Conference in Phoenix, AZ to reduce the environmental impact of their presence at the exhibition. Instead of shipping their exhibit and flying to Arizona, Kelly, Aimee, and Carissa will drive across the country, bringing their exhibit with them.

By embarking on this adventurous road trip, they will cut their carbon footprint by one tonne of CO2 emissions. That is the equivalent of taking 58 cars off the road for one day!

To follow them on their journey, check out the blog and comment in the forums!

Her passion throughout her education and life encompasses real world design for real people, especially children. Kelly started working for the SyracuseCoE in June of 2009 and designed the exhibit for Greenbuild.

Aimee grew up just south of Syracuse in Cazenovia, NY. She graduated from St. Lawrence University in May 2009 with a bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies and Anthropology. Her focus is on water and air pollution and how it affects local communities. She has been working at the SyracuseCoE since August of 2009 where she is a communications assistant.

Carissa Matthews

Carissa Matthews graduated this past May from Syracuse University with a B.S. in Public Relations and a keen interest in the environment. Hailing from Long Island, she moved to Syracuse full-time after graduating from SU because she loves living within 15 minutes of a symphony orchestra, apple farms, and Blues Fest - and because Syracuse is the place to be if you want to be in a city that is embracing sustainability! In her spare time she likes to play guitar and make to-do lists.  She is currently the Assistant Communications Manager at SyracuseCoE.
